Christina Perez | School Counselor

Mucho Gusto Fuente Nueva students and families!  My name is Christina Perez and I am the new school counselor.  I am happy to serve and become part of your school community.  It is my goal to continue to build a positive school climate at Fuente Nueva and to encourage a school-family atmosphere.  I am a Humboldt County native, and a proud member of the Karuk Tribe.  In 2005 I graduated from Humboldt State University, majoring in Liberal Studies/Elementary Education, and after some years teaching, I then went back to college to earn my Masters in School Counseling.  It is my passion to support and advocate for students and families, helping all experience an enriching, safe, and healthy environment at school.  I am looking forward to the exciting new school year, and hope to make many new friends!  Please help me get to know all of you, I am approachable and friendly and never too busy to support students and parents with their life-challenges, school/student concerns, and mental health needs.
